Double sheep transport in Belgium, England and Wales
Last July, we exported sheep from Cees commandeur in the Netherlands to Belgium, from Belgium to Sylvia Rawlings in England and from Wales back to the Netherlands.
Our trip started on the evening of July 28th, driving to Cees and Reintje Commandeur. After a nice and fun evening, talking a lot about sheep, we stayed the night at their place. After a nice breakfast the next morning, the sheep were approved by the NVWA and our trip continued to Belgium. We drove to Christiaan Verstreaten in Waarschot with 5 sheep from Cees Commandeur in our trailer to go to Belgium and the in the van to go to England.
After unloading the ewes, we drove to Calais, where we went on a boat to go to Sylvia Rawlings in Cholchester, England. We arrived at 19.00, local time and after unloading the sheep, we went out for a nice dinner with Sylvia. With good food and nice company we (of course) talked about sheep again. After a nice evening and a good night sleep, we continued our trip to Wales with an empty van.
In Wales, we picked up two suffolk sheep at Wijn Morris for Stefan Baier in Germany.
In sum, a fun and good trip! Also with the help of Sylvia Rawlings who has a lot of contacts in Great Brittan and arranges al the paperwork there. We are thankful for her support and friendship.
