Theo and Anita van Deijne specialise in the breeding of quality texel sheep, which is the best breed of sheep for the meat industry. We breed for development with preservation of fertility, type and muscularity.

All of our sheep are Scrapie-resistant for more that seven years and they all have a ‘status 10’ (ARR-ARR). The animals are also tested for maedi-visna,and cea every two years and we are free of maedi-visna,and cea for 25 years.

Every year, about four top rams are used for 30 young ewes and circa 100 mother ewes. All the rams are first used by other breeders and are only used for our own sheep if they have performed to our expectations. The rams are also tested for the blind factor, only those who are free of this factor are used on our own flock.

Because we have a carrier certificate we can export our own animals. We also sell semen and frozen semen.
